The images and the quote, makes it clear that today the children think that being over weight is a bad thing. I believe that the images of the two people just sitting, eating and watching television send a clear message that this is wrong and you should not be doing this. I agree. Being over weight is not helthy at all, you can develop many illnesses from it and most definately will limit your options in many things in life. Most people could control that and do something about them being over weight. I think America needs more options to educate children from a young age that being over weight has consequences and that before it happens they can prevint it, by eating healthy and regirarly exercising. The pictures show the two people just watching televevision or being on the computer and eating, they are not envolved in any healthy activities so there is no way they could be deffernet.
On the other hand with the quote, I dont agree. Being over weight is not a disability. Sometimes in even classrooms people think they can take the disabled chairs and tables, just because they are bigger. Now that is wrong, people who are obiese are not disabled because they were not borned with that that is just a lifestyle they adopted to, but they can most definately do something about it.

totally overweight shouldn't be disability and sit on disabled chairs/table. I also agree on the points that you made. America should give kids more options to ed. children who are overweight at young age and prevent it.
ReplyDeleteI agree, you made really good points that i didn't even think of. I agree that children should be educated about it from a young age. I don't remember being told about it or how it can be bad for me till i was older.
ReplyDeleteEducation and control has to start with the parents. If the parents don't teach children what they should and shouldn't eat, the children will grow up eating only foods that taste good which are usually not the food that will make them healthy. And parents are also the ones who control the amount of time their children sit around not being active.
